Yesterday was another less than stellar travel day, what with Northwest Airlines delaying our flight to Louisville to the point where they had to rebook us on US Airways. We ended up three hours behind our schedule and had to forgo the quick jaunt we had to Jim Beam.
Additionally, there were several little slights. Everything from spilled containers in luggage to frayed AC adapters and broker carry-on straps. It was one of those days where a person is glad to see it end.
We did have dinner at Maker’s Mark Lounge in downtown Louisville. The food was good. Very good, but it didn’t press the threshold of great. We did a Bourbon tasting, and fell into a good conversation with a couple sitting next to us.
Today, we’re hitting three separate distilleries, in order to take advantage of our time schedule. After a quick jaunt to the Apple Store to replace said AC adapter, we should be back to a relatively easy schedule the rest of the week.
At least, until Friday, when we have to fly again.
