
What makes the above, very unassuming, burger so wonderful? One tablespoon of butter.
There’s no bacon, no smoked mozzarella cheese, no special seasoning. It hasn’t been marinated or aged. It’s a single slice of cheese with a bit of onion on top of a single, plain hamburger…with a dollop of butter. And with that approach, Sully’s Grille has created something that hundreds of diners, street stands, and upscale restaurants have been unable to: have a memorable and delicious burger.
I’ve said it so often that it might as well be my mantra: The best foods are often the simplest.
