More Food Porn: Beer and Ice Cream Float

A week or so ago, I mentioned that the Issaquah Brew House used the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar in an ice cream float. My point was to illustrate that it is so sweet that the local pub owners have no problem in adding it to ice cream.

It’s a novel idea that really is nothing more than that. In theory it sounds like it can work. In practice, it was less than I expected, with the beer being too bitter to offset the sweetness of the ice cream and whipped cream. It didn’t get better until the ice cream started melting, and by that point, it had lost its allure.

But it does make a nice food porn shot, methinks.
