The poll this week on the front page of Accidental Hedonist poses the standard “stranded on a desert island” bit.
Let us say that you’re with the crew of The Minnow and have some of the basics: fire for cooking; cold water to help keep stored foods chilly; and, somehow, enough electricity for one device. What kitchen tools would you want most?
Would you not bother with the electrical outlet at all and want a good set of knives or a skillet? Could you live without a good oven, microwave, or stove top?
