Roasting Reference Guide

Ha! I was able to discover a handy guide to use when roasting meat. It may not give the best roast, but it should give a good benchmark on where to start.

Pre-Heat your oven to 375° F.

Lamb:

  • (rare – 145° internal): 20 minutes per pound + 20 minutes
  • (medium – 160° internal): 25 minutes per pound + 25 minutes
  • (well done – 175° internal): 30 minutes per pound + 30 minutes

Beef:

  • (rare – 145° internal): 20 minutes per pound + 20 minutes
  • (medium – 160° internal): 25 minutes per pound + 25 minutes
  • (well done – 175° internal): 30 minutes per pound + 30 minutes

Pork: 35 minutes per pound + 35 minutes

Chicken: 20 minutes per pound + 20 minutes

Turkey: 25 minutes per pound + 20 minutes
