Now in its seventeenth year, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation has raised over $54 million, supporting 450 groups working to end hunger and poverty. It’s a nationwide event, and Seattle is taking part this Thursday.
From their site:
“Every spring, thousands of community leaders — from chefs and restaurateurs to public relations professionals and accountants — donate their product, time and talents at more than 100 events throughout the United States and Canada. The events, which include food and wine tastings, seated dinners, brunches, and barbeques, have raised over $54 million since 1988, supporting 450 groups working to end hunger and poverty.”
